Our next meeting with Fred & Kathleen Manning will be Sunday, March 11th., 2012, 2 PM at the Huntsville Botanical Garden Classroom .
Fred started collecting daylilies in 1990, influenced by Jack Temple. He started with diploid spiders and Uf's because that was what Jack was using. Fred still has a small dip Uf program searching for the perfect "white" daylily. "I have registered about thirty daylilies beginning in 1999 to the present. All begin with LILLIAN for the small town we live in. I have recently started doing tet Eyes and Edges more than anything else. What I enjoy most about daylilies is hybridizing. My hybridizing goal is to produce garden plants with long bloom seasons".
